Doolittle Raiders Honored
Week of June 16, 2008
Eglin Air Force Base in Florida hosted a homecoming for the six surviving heroes of the World War II Doolittle Raiders who trained at Eglin in preparation for their historic mission. Airmen of all ages were given the opportunity to meet the national icons face to face. The Doolittle Raiders also attended book signings and took part in a panel discussion.
