Deadline Approaches in New Hampshire

Eligible New Hampshire wartime era veterans and their surviving spouses have until April 15, 2008 to file for a tax credit on their residential property for tax year 2007. Those who already receive their tax credit do not need to re-apply. The two tax credits for New Hampshire veterans are the "Veterans' Tax Credit" and the "Tax Credit for Service-Connected Total Disability." If you have questions about eligibility requirements for these tax credits, contact your local tax assessors or selectmen, or contact the State Veterans Council at 603-624-9230 or 800-622-9230 (in New Hampshire only).
