D-Day Memorial Prepares
Week of March 16, 2009
The National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Va. is currently preparing for the upcoming 65th Anniversary of D-Day on June 6, 2009 with a Luminary Project. Each luminary costs $20, or 6 for $100. All gifts are tax-deductible and proceeds benefit the anniversary programming at the Memorial. The Memorial will stay open until 10 p.m. on June 6 so visitors can view the nighttime illumination along the necrology wall, which bears the names of all Allied servicemen killed in action during D-day.
