Connecticut lawmakers have approved a bill expanding the dates recognized dates for Operation Earnest Will, a little-known Persian Gulf War mission for which Connecticut veterans qualify for benefits such as tax exemptions, tuition waivers and other financial help. The new bill conforms with federal regulations by expanding the timeframe Feb. 1, 1987 to Aug. 1, 1990. For more information, visit the State of Connecticut Department of Veterans' Affairs or telephone 1-800-550-0000.
