The U.S. Coast Guard reminds boaters to exercise safe boating practices over the Summer and remain aware of the changing weather and sea conditions. Prior to taking to the water, boaters are encouraged to visit the U.S. Coast Guard Boating Safety website for complete information on safe boating. Additionally, the Coast Guard highly recommends boaters get a free vessel-safety inspection from your local Coast Guard Auxiliary. More information on these inspections can be found at the Vessel Safety Check website. A few minutes now could save a life later. Current weather information and advisories can be found on the National Weather Service Marine Forecasts website.
