Check Out Your Local Vet Center

Many veterans return from combat feeling disconnected. Some suffer physical or emotional injuries that make reconnecting to the civilian world difficult. Since 1979 veterans have been getting reconnected through the Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Center Program. The program runs 232 community based Vet Centers. These centers are informal friendly places staffed by small teams of professionals - many of whom are themselves combat veterans.
