The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) presents "Capitol Fourth, America's Independence Day Celebration" on Independence Day, Friday, July, 4, 2008. The celebration of America's 232nd birthday will be hosted by Jimmy Smits, and feature fireworks, Huey Lewis and the News, Jerry Lee Lewis, Taylor Hicks, Broadway's Brian Stokes Mitchell, classical singer Hayley Westenra and soprano Harolyn Blackwell.
