Bill Addresses Medical Malpractice

The House Judiciary Subcommittee recently approved the Carmelo Rodriguez Military Medical Accountability Act would allow military servicemembers to prosecute the government for medical malpractice. The bill would also allow lawsuits on behalf of military personnel who are killed or injured by medical malpractice, but would contain an exception for combat-related injuries. The full text of HR 1478 is available on Military.com's Legislative Center.
