(1) Make sure the business is legitimate.
(2) Buy from reputable stores and sellers. If you have doubts, choose another company.
(3) Look for third-party seals of approval.
(4) Make sure the website uses encryption.
(5) Use a filter that warns you of suspicious sites.
(6) Keep your Web browser updated.
