Things are changing for Soldiers attending accredited colleges who previously paid tuition out-of-pocket and then were reimbursed through the tuition assistance program. Beginning Oct. 1, active and Reserve Soldiers will not need to put money up front for tuition. Educational institutions listed online will receive the tuition money directly from Army Human Resources Command. The only action Soldiers need to take is to register and apply for TA through the portal. For more information, contact your local Army Continuing Education System's education center, which provides education counseling services free of charge to Soldiers and their families.
