Army Sponsors Teaching Program
Week of July 30, 2007
Estimates show that approximately 10 percent to 20 percent of Soldiers returning from combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan may suffer with symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). The Army and Army Medical Department has launched a PTSD/MTBI Chain Teaching Program across the Army. All Army components must complete the training within 90 days of launch, or by no later than Oct. 18. The training information is available to Army leaders and Soldiers on the Army Knowledge Online website, the Army homepage, and the Army's PTSD/MTBI Chain Teaching Program news webpage.
