Army leaders are reminding us of the patriotic service and the sacrifices of Gold Star Mothers with upcoming events in October. The Army will launch a comprehensive program this month to fulfill its moral obligation to surviving family members. Army Casualty Assistance Centers will receive increased resourcing, and the short- and long-term needs of survivor families will be met by expert benefit specialists, financial counselors skilled in estate planning, and support coordinators for as long as needed. For more information, contact your local Army Casualty Assistance Center. Informational links are available on the Army's Casualty website, the Deputy Chief of Staff's website, and the Military.com website.
