Enlisted Airmen may have their chance to obtain an U.S. Air Force Academy appointment through the Leaders Encouraging Airman Development (LEAD) program. The program enables unit and wing commanders to nominate highly qualified Airmen to attend the Academy. To be eligible, Airmen must be younger than 23 years old, be a U.S. citizen or be able to attain citizenship before entry into the Academy, be unmarried, have no dependents, and be of high moral character. For more information on the LEAD program, visit the U.S. Air Force Academy Admissions website or call 719-333-8574 or 800-443-9266.
