USAF Enlisted Village

The Air Force Enlisted Village, one of the four official charities of the Air Force, provides a home to the surviving spouses of enlisted Airmen. The Village was founded in 1967 to provide a safe, secure and dignified place for indigent surviving spouses of retired Air Force personnel. Most of the residents there are widows in their seventies. Temporary housing is available to spouses of enlisted members who die or who are killed on active duty. Housing is provided at two locations -- at the Teresa Village in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and at the Bob Hope Village in nearby Shalimar. For more information, visit the Air Force Enlisted Village website or call 1-800-258-1413.
