Airmen returning from a 365-day deployment now have at least six months at home before they can deploy again. A recent revision in policy reduced the 365-day deployment deferment from 12 to six months for active-duty Airmen -- mirroring the existing six-month deferment policy for Airmen completing an unaccompanied short tour of similar length. For more information on the 365-day deferment policy, call the Total Force Service Center at 800-525-0102 or visit AFPC's secure ASK website.
