A decision on the Air Force heritage coat has been deferred until the summer of 2009 to address current uniform issues. A few of the other uniform concerns the service will look at are a lighter-weight ABU for hot-weather climates, better-fitting PT clothing, a quieter material for the warm-up jacket and pants, and the quality of ABU boots. Airmen can provide uniform recommendations by visiting the Air Force IDEA Program website. Airmen can access uniform information by visiting the Air Force Portal and typing in "uniform" in the search box in the page's upper right-hand corner.
