The Air Force recently published a demographics report offering a snapshot of the service's active-duty and civilian force. This current data can also be found on the Air Force Personnel Center website. Today, 328,763 individuals are on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. The average age for officers is 35, and 29 year of age for enlisted Airmen.
