The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) unveiled its in-store computer/home electronics service and installation program called PZ Tech. This program offers in-store service at the time of purchase, repair services, home installations and 24/7 telephone and Internet tech support. Technicians not only help shoppers in-store, but will also come to an authorized customer's home to help set up or troubleshoot.
Initial AAFES PZ Tech rollout locations are:
- Ft. Lewis
- McChord AFB
- Ft. Bliss
- Ft. Carson
- Lackland AFB
- Ft. Sam Houston
- Ft. Hood
- Ft. Leonard Wood
- Ft. Campbell
- Ft. Benning
- Eglin AFB
- MacDill AFB
- Ft. Bragg
- Ft. Belvoir.
The initial openings will be followed by a full program rollout in 2009, with all AAFES PowerZones in the continental U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, scheduled to have PZ Tech services by July 2009.
