2009 Proposed Pay Charts
Week of August 18, 2008
President Bush's administration released his 2009 National Defense budget request. The administration is requesting an across-the-board raise of 3.4 percent in basic pay for all military personnel. The U.S. Congress is currently debating an additional 0.5 percent raise, which would increase the 2009 military pay raise to 3.9 percent. See the proposed pay charts for 2009.
