2009 Military COLA Released
Week of December 29, 2008
DoD released the 2009 "the continental United States (CONUS)" Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) payment rates for 2009. Servicemembers are likely to be assigned to a variety of low-, moderate- and high-cost locations; to make up for this the DoD pays certain servicemembers a cost-of-living allowance who are stationed in certain "high-cost" locations in the continental United States.
