Announcing the MWR Fitness Xtreme Challenge Race
January 10th, 2009
The Naval Support Activity, Panama City Beach, Florida will be hosting the 2009 Xtreme Challenge Race.
• The race will be held at Pine Log State Park.
• Teams must consist of 3 people.
• The race is open to 3 groups:
Group 1
Your team must be coed with a minimum of 2 Active Duty, and third person may be Reservist, DOD, or a Military Spouse.
Group 2
Your team does not have to be coed, but must consist of Active Duty, Reservists, DOD, DOD dependents, or military dependents and can be from any branch of the military.
Group 3
Your team must be coed. Team can be made up with all civilians
• The race includes: 3 mile canoe, 9 mile bike ride, 6 mile run, orienteering and team physical & mental challenges.
• The race will take approximately 6-8 hours to complete.
• There will be a pre-race meeting on Friday 12th December at 1800, at the MWR Gym.
• Participants must provide their own bike and helmet. Canoes will be provided by MWR.
• The cost is $45 (Active Duty) $60.00 (DOD card holder) $75.00 (Civilian) per team.
• There will be a catered dinner and awards ceremony at 1600 on the day of the race.
• Awards will be given to the top 3 teams. All participants will receive a race T-Shirt.
