Army Spouse Employment Partnership

American Hospital Service Group, Inc. (AHSG) joined the Army Spouse Employment Partnership program (ASEP) during a signing ceremony that took place in Washington D.C. on October 5, 2009. The event occurred during the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition. AHSG President, Jeffrey W. Rohrbaugh, was on hand to receive this honor from The Secretary of the Army, The Honorable John McHugh. Other important guests included Assistant Secretary of the Army, Thomas Lamont, Commander, Family, Morale, and Welfare Command, Brig General Rueben Jones, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army/ASEP Chairman, Dr Heirakuji, and Commander, US Africa Command, General William Ward.

ASEP provides Army spouses with topportunities, career mobility and enhanced job options through partnerships with corporate and private partners looking to employ diverse and talented candidates. Frequent Soldier reassignment/relocations make it difficult for spouses to sustain steady employment and develop long-term careers. The program helps spouses overcome the hindrances of reoccurring moves or transfers.

The Army understands the importance of spouse satisfaction in the Soldiers decisions regarding their families and financial stability. By signing the statement of support, AHSG pledged to put its best foot forward in order to increase employment opportunities for Army Spouses.
