TCM is Planning a War-Movie Marathon

The U.S. cable television network TCM says it plans to observe Memorial Day weekend by screening 72 hours of classic war films.
TCM also has scheduled a Memorial Day tribute to Oscar winner Clint Eastwood, featuring a 24-hour marathon of some of his most popular films, as well as the world television premiere of "The Eastwood Factor," an all-new, feature-length documentary narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman and produced, written and directed by Richard Schickel.
The roster of war movies airing on TCM May 28-30 includes "The Lost Patrol," "Stalag 17," "Sergeant York," "The Great Escape," The Bridge on the River Kwai," "The Best Years of Our Lives," "The Dirty Dozen" and "Mister Roberts."
