Report: HBO Plans Cheney Miniseries

HBO is working on a miniseries about the life and career of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, Deadline.com reported Monday.
The project will be based on journalist Barton Gellman's book "Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency" and the "Frontline" documentary, "The Dark Side."
The Web site quoted a producer it did not identify as saying the miniseries will focus on Cheney's "single-minded pursuit of enhanced power for the Presidency (that) was unprecedented in the nation's history."
Cheney, 69, was the youngest White House chief of staff, serving under President Gerald Ford. He served as secretary of defense under George H.W. Bush and vice president under President George W. Bush.
