Gary Faulkner, the U.S. man detained in Pakistan while trying to find and kill Osama bin Laden, is to be a guest on "Late Show with David Letterman," CBS said.
Faulkner is to appear on Monday's edition of the show.
It will mark his first late-night talk-show appearance.
"Faulkner, a construction worker from Greeley, Colo., was arrested by authorities June 13 while attempting to cross into Afghanistan from the mountainous region of northern Pakistan, armed with a pistol, sword, night-vision goggles and a map," CBS noted in a news release Friday. "Upon his arrest, Faulkner told local officials he wanted to avenge the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks by killing Osama bin Laden. He was eventually moved to Islamabad and then released without charges Wednesday, returning to the United States later that day. Upon his return, he vowed to reporters that he would try to return to Pakistan to once again hunt down bin Laden."
