Changes Coming in Minnesota?

If the Minnesota Wild continue to lose, changes will come. That much general manager Chuck Fletcher made clear during a conversation with the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The options include a possible trade, where the Wild's defensive depth could be used to add a forward.
"I've had a lot more conversations the last couple weeks than I had the previous few weeks. I don't think I'm alone," Fletcher told the paper. "It's that time of the year where there's more opportunities to look into the trade market."
And if that doesn't work? It's possible that coach Todd Richards could be in trouble. Entering Friday's games, the Wild had lost its past three games, dropping to No. 13 in the Western Conference.
"The first thing we're trying to do is simply get our players executing better, playing better and regaining the confidence that they've lost over the last stretch," Fletcher said. "For whatever reason, we have several of our veteran players that aren't playing up to the levels that they normally play at. We seem to be fragile group right now."
Wild owner Craig Leipold declined to comment on the job security of his coach, but is clearly unhappy with his team's spot in the standings.
"I don't want to get into that," Leipold told Sporting News. "Other than the fact that I'm disappointed in where our record currently stands and I'm optimistic we're going to turn it around."
