Observations and Outrages

Golf News - SportingNews.com

Tiger does it again. To the multitudes of those of you that hate Tiger, accept that he is this generation's best golfer and well on his way to being the best of all time. No golfer has ever created as many memorable shots in clutch moments as Tiger has-you can use his pitch in at the 11th for eagle to day for just the latest example. I consider myself lucky to be living in a time where I can watch a genius perform his craft.

Looking back at my last entry, I said the Nuggets would beat the Lakers. I couldn't have been more wrong, but if you're a Laker fan the price for winning a championship is going to be high. You are going to have to deal with that ridiculous face Kobe has now standarized to show his "intensity". Ooooo, you're so cold-blooded Kobe! I wouldn't mind seeing one hard 'bow come from D. Howard into Kobe's hardened visage. It would probably be the last time we would see this pose from the Kobster for a while.

Also, while looking back at my previous entry is a suggestion to Nascar to restart races double-wide. Wow, do I have power or what? A big gold star for me! My next suggestion is not going to be free, Nascar. It's going to cost you, so I want dinner with one of those Nextel girls in victory lane. The pleasure will be yours, ladies.

Okay, now for my outrages. General Stanley A. McChrystal is on his way to being approved as commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan. If his name doesn't ring a bell, he's one of the ringleaders of the Pat Tillman friendly fire cover-up. The U.S. Army, thinking it's not enough that a man like Tillman gave up millions of dollars and fame to serve his country and be killed in the line of duty, created a scheme where Tillman's death was because of enemy fire. It was a great insult to a great American's family, one that needn't have happened. Pat Tillman had served with honor, and his life shouldn't have been bastardized by some morons at the Pentagon trying to sell more U.S. military conflict in the Middle East. What they should have done is what the government is OBLIGATED to do, and that's to tell the truth and, most importantly, protect the lives or the legacies of those that served this country like Pat Tillman did. That's why McChrystal should never be allowed to command, because at the end of the day he cannot be trusted. Where is all of this change I keep hearing about? The government will still run things, just different guys in different suits believing they are above accountability.

Never forget Pat Tillman.
