Burglar Pries Open Poorbox With Crucifix

Police say they are looking for a man who used a crucifix from a Florida church altar to pry open a donation box and remove an unspecified amount of cash.
The alleged robber of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Lauderdale entered the church through a broken window Saturday night, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.
Videotape from security cameras allegedly shows a slender white man with a tattoo on his right shin prying open the box below a display of religious candles, the newspaper said Thursday.
