Scorsese Wrapping Up Harrison Documentary

United Press International

Scorsese Wrapping Up Harrison DocumentaryDirector Martin Scorsese is in the home stretch of his documentary about the life of George Harrison, the Beatle's widow said this week.

Olivia Harrison told the Los Angeles Times she had seen the latest version of "George Harrison: Living in the Material World" and indicated she liked what she saw.

"We're real excited about it. Marty is such a great storyteller, and of course he always finds the story that you don't expect," Harrison said Friday in Las Vegas.

"I assume we're going to announce it sometime soon, the actual (premier) date, but it will be this year," she added.

Harrison died of cancer in 2001 at the age of 58. He is the latest rocker to be the subject of a documentary by Scorsese, who has covered Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and The Band in his career.
