Kal Penn, who quit his job on the TV drama "House" to work for the Obama administration in Washington, is set to resume his acting career.
Penn left "House" last year to serve as associate director of public engagement.
However, his publicist confirmed to EW.com Friday that he is leaving his post and will soon start work on a Christmas-themed "Harold & Kumar" movie, the third in the big-screen comedy franchise.
Penn, a UCLA graduate, said last summer he didn't plan to accept any acting jobs for a year or two because he wanted to focus on his government position dealing with the youth, arts and Asian-American communities.
