"Year One"
With "National Lampoon's Vacation," "Caddyshack," and "Groundhog Day" on his directorial resume, Harold Ramis has certainly earned his place as a comedy legend. Unfortunately, his most recent batch of films - excluding the underrated thriller "The Ice Harvest" -hasn't exactly added to his legacy. Based on the lackluster trailers, his latest comedy "Year One" looks more like a "Multiplicity"-style disappointment than a "Caddyshack"-like gut-buster, but here's hoping the all-star ensemble cast can generate some solid laughs. Jack Black and Michael Cera play a pair of hunter-and-gatherers who are kicked out of their tribe and forced to go in search of a new home. In the course of their travels, they encounter a bunch of famous comedians playing Biblical icons, from Paul Rudd and David Cross as those battling brothers Cain and Abel to Hank Azaria and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as dysfunctional father-son duo Abraham and Isaac. With that kind of cast, it's gotta be better than "Analyze That," right?

"The Proposal"
Raise your hands if you've ever had the desire to see Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock play mismatched lovers in a romantic comedy. Okay, all five of you with your hands in the air can now make a beeline for your nearest multiplex for "The Proposal," which casts Bullock as a tyrannical boss who forces her underling (Reynolds) to marry her so she won't be deported back to her country of birth ... Canada. Hilarity supposedly ensues.
