Game Review: Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny

Sunday Mercury

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (PSP) THIS visual powerhouse of a beat 'em up brings some of the best graphics ever to grace the PSP.

Storywise, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Two fighters are pitted together in large, open arenas armed to the teeth with all manner of weapons.

This is a direct port of Soulcaliber IV minus some of the extras and the playable Star Wars characters (which is a pity as I was looking forward to slicing and dicing as Darth Vader).

But really this is the only gripe. It's a remarkable achievement that they've managed to pack in so much detail and characters into a handheld game.

There's also an ad-hoc multiplayer mode which thankfully suffers from little slowdown. If you're a fan, then this is a must.
