Game Review: Dissidia: Final Fantasy Heroes

Sunday Mercury

Dissidia: Final Fantasy (PSP) HEROES and villians from the Final Fantasy series are brought together for one major rumble on the Sony handheld.

This is not your usual RGP affair, but a one-on-one fighter with a a few twists along the way.

It's a 3D fighter with plenty of moves and attacks. Alas, unlike Soulcaliber, the controls take a while to get used to and you might get frustrated early on.

However, after much gnashing of teeth, you'll find yoursefl dispatching your enemies with some impressive-looking combos.

Inbetween battles you move your character around a board to the next level. While you're at it you can also drop by a quite confusing shop and pick up some nifty items for your next confrontation.

All in all, good but not great.
