Close but not Quite

the Box : Close But Not Quite

In a year of fantastic games, here are some that just missed the cut -- but they're still worth owning.

Heavenly Sword: looks stunning and has fantastic production values, but deep down it's ultimately style over substance. It's the game that you buy to show off what your PS3 can do.

Stranglehold: an excellent action game that's really an interactive John Woo movie. Taking on the role of Inspector Tequilla, it's a game that encourages you to smash your environment as you slide, swing and jump your way through a Hong Kong drug war.

Crysis: Although this PC shooter has a lot in common with its older brother Far Cry, it will push your computer to the limits as it shows off its stunning visuals, excellent physics and improved enemy AI. You'll have to upgrade your PC to get the best from it.
