World of Warcraft Raids to Support a Cure
The Big Bear Butt
Nov 04, 2009
If you thought that playing World of Warcraft only led to epic gear and online gaming addiction, think again. One World of Warcraft guild, consisting mostly of active or former military or spouses, is taking gaming to a new level.
After a fellow guild member, Julie, was diagnosed with breast cancer, all the guild members stepped up to the plate to show their support. The end result - Raid for the Cure taking place on November 14, 2009, 2pm central time.
"Members of both Alliance and Horde factions are invited to attend. Pink Mageweave Shirts will be handed out for all walkers, and all levels of characters will be welcome. If you'd like, bring your own shirt, or even make it a formal affair with your Festive Pink Dress!"
The guild has also opened a fund for players and non-players to donate to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation and holding a raffle for everyone that makes a donation. There will be prizes sponsored by the WoW blog community.
