Shipments of Dragon Quest Ix Exceed 3 Million Copies

Tokyo, July 14 (Jiji Press)--Square Enix Co. said Tuesday that domestic shipments of its Dragon Quest IX game software have exceeded three million copies since its launch on Saturday.
As a result, cumulative shipments of all Dragon Quest series titles have exceeded 50 million copies, the company said.
According to game magazine publisher Enterbrain Inc., sales of the new Dragon Quest title in the first two days are believed to have totaled 2,343,440 copies, some 100,000 copies more than the first two-day sales of Dragon Quest VIII.END
