Crue Debuts Single Through 'Rock Band'

Harmonix and MTV Games said the U.S. rock band Motley Crue has released its new single "Saints of Los Angeles" through the music video game "Rock Band."

"Rock Band" is a game that challenges players to put together a band, master lead and bass guitar, drums and vocals, and go on tour.

"Saints of Los Angeles" was released as a downloadable, playable track through "Rock Band" Tuesday. It is available for download for 99 cents via Xbox LIVE Marketplace and will also become available Thursday via the PLAYSTATION Store.

This marks the first time a band has introduced a new single through the game, MTV Networks said.

People attending concerts on Motley Crue's upcoming 40-city summer tour will get a chance to play the game as part of the "Rock Band Second Stage Experience."
