Crown Publishers says it plans a November release for "Decision Points," former U.S. President George W. Bush's reflections on his political career.
The 63-year-old Republican served as commander in chief from 2001 to 2009.
"Since leaving the Oval Office, President Bush has given virtually no interviews or public speeches about his presidency," the New York Daily News quoted Crown as saying in a statement Monday. "Instead, he has spent almost every day writing 'Decision Points,' a strikingly personal and candid account revealing how and why he made the defining decisions in his consequential presidency and personal life. ... (He) writes honestly and directly about his flaws and mistakes, as well as his historic achievements."
The Daily News said Bush was paid $7 million for the book. Former President Bill Clinton was paid $15 million for his memoir, "My Life."
