The Accelerate to Excellence Program was a pilot Navy recruiting program that offered new enlistees the ability to attend community colleges in their hometown for the first year before heading off to basic training or boot camp in Great Lakes.
They would then attend specialized classes to learn their Navy specialty and complete their associate degree.
The program is no longer active.
