Homefront America Scholarships for Military Children

The fourth annual Homefront America Inc. American Patriot Freedom Scholarship award for military dependent children is currently accepting applications.

The American Patriot Freedom Scholarship Program was established in 2006 to offer appreciation to those families who have dedicated themselves to protecting the American virtues that we all enjoy. In May, the program will reach a milestone - $ 95,000 in scholarships awarded.

"We are deeply grateful to have the continued support of Saras Hope Foundation, the program's founding sponsor." says Arthur Hasselbrink, founder and president of Homefront America. "There is no doubt the foundation's generosity has and continues to change lives."

"Our troops say 'yes' time and again to our country's needs, and we cannot think of a better way to thank them for their sacrifices than to invest in their children's future," said Dan Tate of Saras Hope.

Go to www.oohrah-usa.org and www.homefrontamerica.org for program applications, eligibility requirements, and to view past awardees' essays and personal stories- applications must be postmarked by April 24, 2009.

Essay Judges Needed
Volunteers are needed to help judge the essays. Judges will read 25 essays of 500 words or less and should have a good command of the English language. Those interested in judging should send an e-mail to mamie@homefrontamerica.org.
