CCME 40th Anniversary

The Council of College and Military Educators recently changed their logo to celebrate 40 years of promoting, encouraging, and delivering quality education to service members and their families in all branches of the armed services.

CCME held a competition to select the new logo conducted among graphic arts students. According to Joycelyn Groot, CCME President, the “logo expresses CCME’s proud past and reflects the great future we see for our organization supporting our military and veterans education goals.”

The winning logo was designed by Christina Bournias, a professional designer and founder of the women-owned design business, Brilliant Orange LLC. She is currently enrolled in the Sessions College Web Design Certificate Program.

Each year CCME holds an annual symposium to facilitate the networking and interaction of the key leadership across several government agencies, education institutions, and organizations in an environment that is focused on enhancing and optimizing voluntary education opportunities for service members and their families. The CCME Symposium is the largest annual military education forum in the country. Over the last ten years CCME has seen the attendance grow to about 1000 participants.

The 2013 symposium will be held in San Diego, California February 25-28 at The Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel. For more information go to: www.ccmeonline.org.
