Coast Guard Petty Officer Receives 30 Months Confinement

HONOLULU — A Coast Guard petty officer was convicted during a general court-martial Monday at the Coast Guard Courtroom in the Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Federal Building.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Miles Kendziorski, a food service specialist, was found guilty of the possession of child pornography under Article 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Kendziorski was sentenced to 30 months confinement in a military brig, a reduction to the lowest enlisted paygrade, forfeitures of all pay and allowances, and a bad conduct discharge.

While awaiting court-martial, Kendziorski served at Coast Guard Base Honolulu. Following the conviction he was remanded to the brig. He was assigned to the Coast Guard Cutter Sequoia, homeported in Guam, at the time of the offense.
