The Navy football locker room exploded Nov. 28 after the team beat South Alabama and the players were shown the new Under Armour "Don't Tread on Me" uniforms the team will wear against Army in Saturday's 115th Army-Navy Game in Baltimore, Maryland.

Under Armour designed the uniforms to feature the First Navy Jack -- the jack flown on ships first by the Continental Navy that has 13 red and white stripes, a rattle snake and the "Don't Tread on Me" motto. The Navy started flying the First Navy Jack on all its ships following the 9/11 attacks for the fight against terror.

"The guys were really excited when they first saw them," said Naval Academy Superintendent Vice Adm. Walter E. "Ted" Carter.

The uniform company based out of Baltimore, Maryland is known for its extravagant uniforms it has designed for other college football teams, namely the University of Maryland. Under Armour started providing Naval Academy's athletic uniforms this year.

The "Don't Tread on Me" motto is embroidered down the pant leg and the sleeves of the uniform's base layer. The helmet features a rattlesnake with a red-and-white striped "N." The shoes are even have a red, white and blue theme.

Army also unveiled the Nike uniforms they will wear for the Army-Navy game. West Point's football team will wear a uniform that's very similar to the all-black one they wore against Connecticut this season on Nov. 8. However, the numbers will be gold instead of camouflage.

Both Navy and Army's football teams had traditionally worn basic uniforms that included gold helmets. However, the two teams started introducing elaborate jerseys in recent years for the nationally televised game. Army has worn uniforms that mimicked the Army Universal Camouflage Pattern that all soldiers wear.
