Special Operations - Common Denominators of Success

Due to the extensive training and large skillset required by members of the special warfare community, the Navy has authorized a special Skill Incentive Pay (SKIP) that can replace other special pays for the Navy Special Warfare community.

Normally members cannot receive SKIP pay in the same month they receive other incentive pays such as jump, dive, or demolition duty pays.

SKIP pay ranges from $150 - $715 monthly.

Members must meet minimum monthly jump, dive or demo requirements to remain eligible for SKIP pay. Those failing to meet requirements may have their SKIP pay terminated, possibly owing back pay. However, members can receive SKIP while attending official schools and if they are under temporary medical restrictions in certain cases.
