Water Contamination Issues

I was stationed in Camp Lejeune latter part of 1968 after my Vietnam Deployment.. I've had issues that I assumed were from Agent Orange. Now I find out I have lung cancer (Among many more Issues). Now, they are finally starting Compensation for Exposure.!! ABOUT TIME. How do I file a claim for this.?? My name 'has been on' the so-called registry, with no notifications of any new news or treatments (Which they claimed they would do). I was supposed to be on the registry since the 2nd of the Contamination announcement. Matter of fact, I called many, many times to make sure.

I believe you have to file for disability. You will need to set up an account at MyHealthEvet, I think. There is a Camp Lejeune 800 number for those affected. I would probably go to my regional VA office and try to do it in person -- it's very confusing and complicated. You will need to bring all your records with you so you can submit along with the application.

Go on a computer and look up "CAMP LEJEUNE WATER" and all Information is there about the Contamination, the cancers involved and all phone numbers including the Registry.. Its all there.

What should I be doing being a spouse of my husband who passed away in 1997 he was stationed at Camp Lejeune NC . When he came out he was given a 10% disability he had tremors and was put on medication to control his tremors and reported to the VA hosp. in Philadelphia PA. every 3 to 6 months. Just months before he passed the VA was going to do a bed examine because by this time he was unable to walk he was in a wheel chair any very sick but he died on 9/4/97 and the VA told me there was nothing I could do because he died before the bed examine but what about all those examines at the VA didn't that count for anything. I have his medical records from the Corps. we did not find out until weeks before he passed that he had what they called terminal parkinsons and there was nothing that they could do for him when he died he was 2 months short of his 42nd birthday. He left me age 41 and our little girl age10. If someone reads this ans can help I would appreciate it Thank you .. My husbands name was Ronald D. Duardo he was a Sgt. in the USMC. and very loyal to the Corps until the day he died. It's been a long 19 years since he passed but there is not one day that goes by that I and our daughter don't think about him. I hope I hear from someone. Thank you
