Military.com and Senator Scott Brown's Office Host Career Expo for Massachusetts Veterans
The expo will be held in Dorchester on Tuesday, March 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the IBEW Local 103. Senator Brown's office will co-host this event with Military.com and Monster.com and will have representatives on hand to speak with veterans, active and reserve service members and their families about resources and support.
"With high unemployment still hurting many communities, it's important to bring local employers and veterans together. This is a great opportunity for our heroes sit down with employers and talk about how their unique skills and training are valuable in the civilian workforce," said Senator Brown.
"These career expos give veterans the ability to compete for quality jobs with organizations who realize the value in hiring a veteran. We're honored to have Senator Brown as a co-host for this effort," said T. McCreary, President of Military.com and retired Navy Admiral.
Approximately 200,000 veterans transition from the military every year.
