Where can you get discount tickets to a rock concert or sporting event? What if you want to book a cut-rate airline flight and hotel room for a weekend getaway? Look no further than the Information, Tickets, and Travel Office (ITT). Located on many domestic and overseas Navy and Marine bases, ITT offers low-cost tickets to local, regional, and national attractions. It also acts as a full-service travel agency. From Disneyland to Dollywood, from train tours to ship cruises, ITT is your one-stop shop for discount ticket and travel services.

Something for Everyone

ITT is open to active-duty service members, reservists, retirees, and their families. A branch of the Navy's Morale, Recreation and Welfare division and Marine Corps Community Services, ITT offers the following services on most bases:

The ITT offers something for everyone.
  • ITT sells discount tickets to attractions, including sporting events, concerts, theaters, amusement parks, museums, aquariums, and zoos. It also serves as a Ticket master outlet.

  • As a travel agency, ITT can assist with discount hotel reservations, rental cars, and airline tickets, as well as cruises, tours, and trip planning.

  • Information on local attractions is also available, including community events, regional brochures, and state maps.

ITT's staff prides itself on the variety and quality of their services. Susan Clark, travel supervisor of the ITT office at the Marine Corps Air Station in New River, N.C., says that employees will do what they can to help clients "find what they're looking for." In fact, each ITT office tailors it's services toward local and regional attractions, although you can always contact any office for assistance with a particular area.

    Cheap Tickets and Cut-Rate Travel

Many tickets and packages are offered at substantial discounts. Manager Dawn Eden at the ITT office at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., explains that ITT ensures that service members "get the lowest available fare out there." Even better, travel assistance is as cheap as it gets because there are no cancellation fees or high commissions to pay. So when you purchase tickets or book travel plans in advance at ITT, your savings add up. For instance, you can ride a roller coaster at Six Flags America or take the kids to meet Shamu at Sea World for less than the gate price. Whatever you're looking for, be sure to visit your local ITT office first for a complete price list and details.

    Leisure for Less

By providing discount leisure services, ITT shows the Navy and Marine Corps commitment to military quality of life. Getting a good deal on a vacation package or on movie tickets helps families enjoy time together for less money. Plus, ITT is non-revenue generating, which means that profits go back into base recreational services. So when you use ITT, you not only help yourself, but other Sailors and Marines too.

Visit ITT online with the Navy or Marine Corps to learn more about travel and ticket discounts. Some bases also offer individual ITT homepages with local information. You can always stop by your bases ITT with questions or for tickets and travel services.

The next time you're looking for fun, be sure to visit ITT. Whether you're dreaming of a Caribbean cruise or hoping to score tickets to the latest box-office smash, there's something for everyone at ITT.
