2012 IJAA Iwo Jima Symposium/Reunion

The Iwo Jima Symposium & Reunion for Veterans of this epic battle, their families, historians, and students of history will be in the Washington DC area this year. It will include a ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, wreath laying at the Marine Corps War Memorial plus Official Banquet following the Symposium.

EPIC REUNION 2012

The EPIC REUNION-2012 for all personnel including Coast Guard who served at the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) will be held March 8 through 10, 2012 (vice 18-24 March as intially planned). It will be at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 111 West University Avenue, El Paso, TX 79902. Reunion Cruise 2012
|
On April 11th, 2002 former crew members of USS Georgetown AG165 & AGTR-2 met for the first time since the decommissioning of our beloved boat. Over 30 of us attended and partied and reminisced about our time on the Big G. It has been 10 years since that reunion and it is time we all get together. Since then we have a web page that have brought many of us back together again.
On the other hand we have some of our friends that have passed. We have lost a couple of Captains and a dear fishing friend of mine, LT Ed Bevins. Most of us are now well into our 60?s and 70?s. Now is the time to go to sea again. I have booked a cruise for March 4th to the 11th on Holland America?s Ship: MS Nieuw Amsterdam. Go to our website to get more information about the cruise. Let?s make this a memorable event for all of us.
The cruise is open to shipmates and their spouses, spouses of deceased shipmates and son & daughters of shipmates and their spouses.

2012 Iwo Jima Reunion of Honor
|
The IJAA will take Veterans, their families, historians, and students of the battle back to Iwo Jima via a chartered jet for touring and a joint memorial ceremony. The Reunion Headquarters will be based at Guam's beautiful Outrigger Resort on Tumon Beach and will have tours of Guam, a Battle Symposium, and offical Banquet.

National Convention and Drill Competition
|
The National Society of Pershing Rifles and the Pershing Rifles National Alumni Association will be conducting the annual National Convention, Drill Competition and Alumni Reunions in Baltimore, MD on March of 2012.
The Alumni Dinner will be held Thursday evening with individual alumni unit dinners taking place on Friday evening. The annual drill competitions and dinner will be held on Saturday. All details may be found on our website.
