Echo 2/39 will be holding its sixth reunion since 1998 at the Radisson Hotel at Opryland in Nashville, TN, on TH May 14 thru SU May 17, 2009. While this is primarily a reunion of Echo 2/39 veterans, we also welcome any veterans who served with the other companies of the 2/39 BN in RVN from Ft Riley, KS, in 1966 thru the first phase of the 9th ID pullout from RVN in the summer of 1969. At previous reunions, we have had officers who served with HHC 2/39, including a battalion commander, executive officer, battalion chaplain and battalion surgeon. We have invited others who served with the rifle companies, but none attended those reunions. If you live within driving distance of Nashville, consider getting together with a couple of your buddies and 25-30 Echo vets at our reunion next spring. It would be nice to make this a full 2/39 BN Reunion in the future. I know that Alpha 2/39 has held a couple of company reunions, but have not heard of any for other companies from the 2/39 BN.
