Save the Dates: April 12-15, 2007 will be the HMX-1 60th Reunion
The Commanding Officer of HMX-1 would like to take this opportunity to welcome all past and present HMX personnel to the 60th Squadron Reunion, which is going to be held from 12-15 April 2007. The Squadron is still finalizing the plan for the weekend to make this a rewarding and enjoyable event for all members and their families. Here is a rough outline of the events that the Squadron is planning for the weekend. There will be updates to follow and more information will be posted as we add detail to the plans for the weekend. Thursday 12 April
- Cocktail Hour and welcome aboard at the Clubs at Quantico.
Friday 13 April
- Golf Tournament at Augustine Golf Course.
- Trolley tours of historic Fredericksburg will be available through
Fredericksburg Trolley Tours.
- Shopping at the Central Park Mall
- More shopping at Potomac Mills Outlet Mall
- Washington DC is only 30 miles north with everything that it has to offer,
including the Cherry Blossom Trees (2007 is the 95th Anniversary of the Gift
of the Trees from Tokyo http://www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org ).
- For the evening, The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and HMX-1 invite
you to dinner and cocktails at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

Saturday 14 April
- HMX-1 will be hosting an Open House aboard the Marine Corps Air Facility
at Quantico. This will include a Battle Color Ceremony by the
Marine Barracks 8th and I , aircraft demonstrations and static displays. This
event will conclude with a barbeque dinner in one of the hangars aboard MCAF.
- In the evening there will be an informal mixer back over at the Holiday Inn Select
Fredericksburg.
Sunday 15 April
- Breakfast at the Holiday Inn Select Fredericksburg and farewells.
Billeting
- The Holiday Inn Select Fredericksburg is the hotel for the event. They have a

Standard rooms are $109.00 a night and includes breakfast for two each
morning.
